Will My New President Hate Me? Or My Country?

Why are Americans so upset about the rantings of Obama's pastor? Because he brings a major, huge question to front and center, where it cannot be ignored. That issue - the so-far-unnamed issue with most Americans about Barack Obama - is not whether America is willing to elect a black President. That issue was settled years ago by Colin Powell. According to polls taken then, Americans would have gladly elected Colin Powell as President.

No, what non-black Americans do not want to do is elect someone to the Presidency who, whether openly or not, hates them. Why would anyone of any color or race or ethnic group choose that? And why would anyone want someone to run their country - America - if he or she hates America, or is openly anti-American?

That is the heart of America's biggest question about Obama. Does he hate non-black people? And is he anti-American? His pastor obviously hates non-blacks and is anti-America, on the evidence of what he clearly says. Obama was close to him and his church for 20 years. Can he even convince us that his thinking is not the same as his pastor's thinking? That is still unknown.

It is the most important question he may ever have to answer. He needs to be very clear, on item by item cited by his pastor in these videos, where he does or does not agree. Nothing else can quiet this huge question.
